Catch up!!!

Well, well, well. I have survived! I did it and I can say I truly loved it. What are you talking about you ask? Well, I gave the Relief Society lesson on Sunday about the Atonement, None were with Him, and it went surprisingly well. Man I was really scared though. I think that everyone is when in this spot. I just really put my all in it the week before, preparing for this and also tried to gather my thoughts and stories of my life with my own personal experiences of my own life. It was awesome. I didn't think that people would get much from this because I thought that it was an ok talk, but I had a ton of women come up to me and tell me they loved it, and also many phone calls. I would even teach again. Did i just say that?!

Also we accomplished the baptism of my son Gavyn. His special day was really cool. He had the biggest grin on his face the whole day and he wore it proud. We had my dad and Bryan's dad bare their testimonies and it was great. What great examples of Priesthood holders he has in his life. I am very blessed in my life to have all of these men in my life and my children's. We have pictures of this day with my family but Bryan's family left too fast so we couldn't get a picture.

We all are staying busy over in these neck of the woods and are getting ready to go on a family camp out on October 9th and 10th. My kids are very excited for this and I guess so am I. I can't wait to get away for a couple of days and escape reality for a few days. I am going to try to be better at this blog thing and get back to the normal around here. So just bare with me and hopefully this will take off!!!!

I love the pictures! What a happy family you have. I am so glad for you! Family is a wonderful blessing.

Glad you got through your lesson as well. You know, most of the time I ever taught lessons at church I could not remember much of what I said afterward. I am a believer of the kind of preparation you put into it because then you can be a mouthpiece for what Heavenly Father wants you to say. I think we don't think we ever do very well because usually the spirit takes over and we say things we hadn't planned on. Does that make sense? Anyway, I am sure you did great job! Watch out what you say about doing it again!!!

Lyndsey! Congratulations on the R.S. Lesson- it is always a bit nerve-wracking to teach (trust me- i taught last Sunday and I had to do it in Italian!!) but it can also be a wonderful experience. I love the pictures from Gavyn's baptism- you have such a beautiful family and your kids are so cute!!! I will have to look you up on Skype for sure so we can chat sometime!

I'm very glad that your lesson went so well. I knew that it would!

I'm glad you were able to make a post. I know that you are extremely busy and I know it's hard sometimes to find the time to do. I have to tell you though with you working and your kids getting older and having lots of activities I'm not sure things ever go back to "normal" I think you just get to where you handle it. If that makes sense. Good luck with your busy life!

    We love you!

I have been without internet for close to a month so it has been hard to follow the blogs. I am using Gena's right now. I really enjoyed hearing about Gavin's special day. Please tell him for me that Grandma is proud of him and I am so happy he is my Great Grandson. I miss you so much Lyndsey and love you even more. I am so glad you were brave enough to give that lesson. I am almost 87 years old and the thought still scares me to death. Write to me on Gena's blog. I would love to hear from you. Grandma

Congratulations to Gavyn on his baptism. What a wonderful time in his life. He and Bryan look so cute in their "whites". Congratulations to you, too, Lyndsey on your R.S. lesson. I have taught many, many gospel lessons in my life and I never get comfortable with it. The entire week before the lesson is just miserable, so I can honestly say that I feel your pain. BUT it does feel so wonderful when it's over, it almost makes the misery worth it...almost! Have fun on your family campout, this is a great time of year for the outdoors and family fun. We'll look forward to more blogging from you.

Lyndsey, what an awesome woman you are! I loved teaching in the church; we all need to remember and experience things we already know, you know? And I can't believe Gavyn is so big! Wasn't it a great day?

You know, I've sucked at blogging lately. I don't know where my time goes! I think you experience the same thing! I'm glad you posted and I hope your campout was fun (it's freezing here, I'd love to camp with you!).

Lynz I think it's time to update again:) Come on you know the rule, a post every two weeks at least unless you are super super busy and then at least once a month! SO it's high time to make another post and change the Halloween background:)

    Love Ya,
    JoLynn
