Okay, I got hounded from Jolynn to post so hear is the post of our fabulous weekend. We went to Bison Ranch, about 30 minutes away from Showlow. We talked about wanting to get away because of all of the stresses from everyday life so we decided to go for the weekend with the kids and have fun.
We go there and of course it was freezing. We get our room and let me tell you, the place we stayed at was so cute. It looked like a little Western town. We went out to dinner and then went back to the House and played games to our hearts content. The next morning was Valentines Day and Me and Jolynn planned the perfect breakfast. We had pink waffles and pink kool whip, beacon, eggs, and sausage. The rest of the day was really fun. First of all it started in the bedroom that Bryan and I were in. We had set up the Wii in there so the adults could play. My brother Brian had this idea to put some soda cans in the fresh powder snow on the balcony outside of the bedroom. Well as he was bending over putting these cans in the snow the devil inside me clicked and my knee pushed his bent over behind out the door and locked it. Well as you can imagine it was cold but a bit more colder for him because he had no shoes on. After a minute I finally let him in but he looked at me and in his own words claimed "Its on!" Well you could only imagine all of the snow that ended up in the house. I got pelted in the face on many occasions but one stands out more that the rest. Brian decided to get Blake. He got him on my bed and told me to get some snow from the outside. I did but also thought that while Brian had Blake pinned on the bed I should just get him again. So again the devil in me kicked in and I grabbed a hand full of snow and slammed it in his face. I got him good. He then got up and chased me down and nailed me back in the face. It was very cold.
The kids also had their own little fights out in the court yard. They were all cute playing with each other and it was really funny watching Brilynn make what she thought were snowballs but were actually snow bricks.
That night we made a great dinner of steak, terriaki chicken, red potatoes, Texas toast, salad, and shrimp. Yum yum. I had made some awesome sugar cookies and some peanut butter brownies that got eaten very quickly. The brownies were Jolynn's munchies thought. She had the most and loved every minute of it. I am glad everyone had such a great time and we are trying to plan another getaway soon.
Here we are in the living room playing Wii.
Love Ya,
JoLynn
